This class for our 3 1/2-4 year olds incorporates gross and fine motor skill development, basic rhythm and hand-eye coordination with the use of obstacle courses and equipment.  Skills are progressive and taught positively to enhance one's own achievement, self-confidence and independence.

The child will be more involved with skill recognition and technique for a beginner tumbler.  He/she will increase strength, flexibility and body control with the use of floor obstacle courses and tumbling mats.

This class is for our more advanced 5 and 6 year olds.  A back walkover is required to be in this class.

The students will work on perfecting the following skills: Back bends, handstands, walkovers, cartwheels, round-offs and forward/backward rolls.  Students will also begin work on basic back handspring drills related to jumping.  Student will learn the importance of explosiveness and power in tumbling.

The students will learn the basics of a back handspring and how to execute properly.  Focus on explosiveness, power and tightness will be emphasized.  Student will need to be able to execute a standing back handspring on their own before advancing to Power 1.

The students will work on connecting the round-off and the back handspring,  They will also begin work on the following skills: round-off back handspring series, front walkover into a round-off back handspring and standing handspring series.

The students will begin work on the standing back tuck and will also begin adding flipping skills to their power tumbling.  We will also begin work on front tumbling as well, such as front handsprings and punch fronts.
